The West Columbia Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying a jewelry theft.

WEST COLUMBIA (WACH) – The West Columbia Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying a jewelry theft.

According to officials the individual entered Ronnie’s Jewelry Store located at 710 12th Street at noon on Wednesday, January 2010. The thief made off with a gold necklace.

According to Chief Dennis Tyndall, the suspect is a black male 25-30 years of age. He is approximately 5’9” tall and weighs about 170 lbs.  He has black hair and brown eyes.  He was clean-shaven and wearing a black and gray striped jacket, black T-shirt, gray pants and black shoes.  He had sunglasses on his head with a light colored cord. 

The stolen necklace is valued at approximately $3000.

Anyone with additional information on the suspect or the crime is asked to call:1-888-CRIME-SC or go to www.sccrimestoppers.com to receive a cash reward for information leading to the conviction of the suspect.
