MYRTLE BEACH (AP) -- The death penalty trial for a South Carolina man accused of killing a woman more than two years ago has been delayed a second time.
The trial of 35-year-old Shane Earl Lawshe of Andrews had been scheduled next month. But prosecutor Greg Hembree says the trial will probably be held in May.
The body of 63-year-old Julianne Blakeley was found in her burning home at Litchfield Beach in September, 2007.
The trial originally was set last July, but was postponed to give attorneys more time to prepare.
The latest delay comes because of scheduling conflicts and changes of lawyers.
Hembree says one prosecutor retired last month. He says defense attorneys also had trouble with the schedule of an expert witness.
Lawshe also is charged with second-degree arson and kidnapping.
