GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a former assistant restaurant manager charged in the driving death of a South Carolina teen to whom he served alcohol has been arrested in Florida.

Solicitor Trey Gowdy told multiple media outlets that 33-year-old Walter Acosta was arrested Friday in North Miami Beach.

The State Law Enforcement Division said Thursday that Acosta served alcohol to 19-year-old Erica Sellers during a private party in August at the Minnow Creek Restaurant in Gaffney. Authorities say Sellers later ran off the road and was ejected from her vehicle.

Acosta is charged with involuntary manslaughter. He could face up to five years in prison.

Records showed Acosta was being held Saturday at the Miami-Dade County jail. Gowdy says Acosta has an extradition hearing Monday.
