(AP) -- A drill bit maker has announced plans to expand its South Carolina operations, adding up to 85 jobs.
The Independent-Mail of Anderson reports Greenfield Industries Inc. announced plans Tuesday to expand its Seneca plant by 50,000 square feet.
Officials plan to invest $18 million over the next five years.
Company officials say they will begin hiring this month. The expansion allows the company to consolidate and bring a North American distribution center to Oconee County.
Greenfield Industries makes a variety of cutting tools, including drills, dies and tool bits.
