NEWBERRY COUNTY -- Newberry County deputies have arrested and charged a man with operating an illegal gambling facility out of his home.

According to Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster, William Albert Mosley, 61, had six illegal video poker machines in his home and was allowing people to play the machines for cash.

Newberry deputies and the State Law Enforcement Division executed a search warrant at Mosley's home at 31 Boundary Street in Newberry Monday after investigators received information that illegal video poker machines were being operated in the home.

Mosley is charged with possession of illegal gambling devices and operating an illegal gambling house. Mosely was released from custody Tuesday morning on a $20,000 bond.

Investigators say people were playing the machines when officers executed the search warrant; however, they were not charged.
