According to Richland County officials, Olin Taylor II, an inmate at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, died Saturday.  Coroner Gary Watts says Taylor died from "asphyxiation by ligature".

Taylor was arrested Friday for several charges, including assault and battery with intent to kill and DUI - which was at least his third offense.

Officials say Taylor showed no signs of unusual behavior after going through a mental evaluation Friday.
