WALTERBORO, S.C. (AP) -- A South Carolina county is getting a Red Cross trailer to help in responding to disasters.

The trailer is being displayed in Colleton County on Monday during an event in Walterboro where Red Cross officials are also thanking MeadWestvaco, which sponsored the trailer.

The packaging company is the largest private landowner in Colleton County, which is west of Charleston.

Trenor Hypes, the company's regional director, says the new trailer will allow a faster disaster response in rural communities outside the immediate Charleston area.
