Car dealerships could be quite busy this weekend. The much talked about, much maligned "Cash for Clunkers" program will end Monday at 8 PM. That means Saturday and Monday are your last chances to take advantage of the up to $4,500 rebate on most new car lots. Most, because at least one Columbia area dealership has already ended the program.
Cash for clunkers has been a double edged sword-- certainly jumpstarting sales-- but also creating more than a few headaches for dealers and the federal government.
