CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Trustees at Clemson University have agreed to set up a committee to review salaries at the school.
The Independent Mail of Anderson reported that trustees on Thursday approved the compensation advisory group proposed by Clemson President James Barker.
The Clemson Faculty Senate earlier this year criticized double-digit pay raises given to administrators while keeping faculty and staff raises at 3 percent or less.
Barker says the advisory group includes faculty and administrators to review compensation issues.
Barker says administrative and faculty salary comparisons are available, but it has been more difficult to find staff pay comparisons.
