Fire destroys chicken house

OCONEE COUNTY, SC -- In Oconee County, a fire destroys everything in its path including thousands of chickens.

Late Saturday night, a blaze believed to have been caused by an electrical malfunction completely destroyed a chicken house.

Farm owner Floyd McPhail reportedly lost nearly 22,000 chickens in the fire.

The chickens were ready to go to market on Wednesday.

A total loss of nearly $200,000.
