Northwestern Defeats Irmo For State Soccer Title

Top ranked Northwestern and 2nd ranked Irmo clashed in the Class 4A title game Saturday night. 

Both soccer teams are ranked nationally by ESPN and both played to a scoreless first half.

The Trojans got on the board first, 54 minutes into the game on a Ricardo Garbanzo goal.  Garbanzo added another goal minutes later.

Irmo finally scored with 16 minutes left, but Northwestern held on for a 3-1 victory.
