The Sheriff's Department is currently working with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department on an investigation into a missing woman's whereabouts.
Law enforcement is searching for clues to help find Nikki McPhatter. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department have stated that they believe foul play is involved.
The victim was believed to be driving a black in color 2003 4-door Honda Accord with North Carolina Tag 'PHATTAH' traveling south toward Columbia, South Carolina.
The victim was in Columbia on May 6, 2009 investigators have spoken with people that saw her on May 6, 2009 around 1:30PM in Columbia.
Investigators know that on May 6, 2009, around 6:00 PM, at 8800 Farrow Road, a black male wearing a white t-shirt with "staff" written on the back is known to have attempted to use the victim's credit cards at the ATM machine. The video surveillance footage shows the suspect in a gold in color 4-door vehicle at the ATM machine.
There is a further rise for concern because:
· The victim has had no family contact since May 6, 2009
· The victim is well established in her community and this behavior is not characteristic
· She and her car are still missing
