The digital television transition is about three weeks away, so if you don't take steps to get ready, you won't be able to see your favorite TV programs on June 12.
If you're watching your TV programs by cable or satellite, you do not have to take any action. If you have a digital TV... whether it is in HD or not, you do not need to do anything, though if you're having reception problems, you may want to consider getting a new antenna.
If you're watching TV in the tradition way, which means you're using an antenna on a TV that does not have a digital tuner, then you need to get a converter box or you won't be able to watch TV in June.
If you're not sure whether you're ready or not, WACH FOX 57 is taking part in a nationwide test on Thursday. At 7:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 6:30 PM, we're going to run a DTV test. If you see your regular programming, you're ready to go. If you see a DTV Information Message, you need to take action.
If you do see that message, you can call the number that will show up on the screen during that time.
