Joe Trapp grinds grits. Something he started doing as a hobby. Seven years later, he's grinding the sweet taste of success.
"You know how hobbies are they just kind of get out of hand, when you have a good product," said Trapp.
His "good" product is created only with southern ingredients.
"I don't use anything but South Carolina products," said Trapp.
He says one taste of his yellow grits and you'll be trapped into wanting more.
"I think people are going to start eating them three times a day and that's just too many," said Trapp. "So I think I'm gonna have to come up with a 'Grits Anonymous.'"

"I promise people that if they will find some grits and cook them for me, and if I think they are better than my grits I'll buy them for them," said Trapp. "Yeah you'll hurt yourself eating them. They're that good!"
People from as far away as Utah have requested Trapp's breakfast favorite. And he says it's just a matter of time before his yellow grits become a household name.
"They will associate Joe Trapp-to Grits, as they do Uncle Ben-to rice."
Trapp knows it's his natural, secret ingredient that'll keep folks coming back.
"If you get Joe Trapp's to start with you get 100% corn," said Trapp. "The best there is in the land."
