HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A South Carolina woman faces sentencing in Hagerstown for her role in two-day standoff with police at a Hancock motel last August.
Twenty-one-year-old Rene Reynolds, of Moncks Corner, S.C., pleaded guilty in January to conspiracy to threaten arson in the incident at the America's Best Value Inn.
She acknowledged she had pretended to be held hostage by her boyfriend, James Prevatt, and that she had supported his false claim that he had explosives in the room.
Reynolds, who gave birth shortly after the incident, faces up to 10 years in prison.
Prevatt has yet to be tried.
