Does your car need some body work? Do you need to wire a new addition to your home? We met some teenagers on Thursday who could probably give Columbia's best body shops and electricians some mean competition.
When you think welding and collision repair, you probably don't think woman. Well, you should. Seventeen year old Jennifer Lynn Nix is the best young collision repair technician in South Carolina and the Irmo High School senior is the first girl to ever hold the title.
And Nix isn't the only top technical student at Irmo High School. Brenton Davis and Allen Davis-- no relation-- are the state's number one and number two young electricans respectively.
Nix, Brenton Davis and Allen Davis all earned their honors at the recent Skills-USA state competition. Learn more by watching the video.
