Fire crews tell WACH FOX News a man has died after a mobile home fire off Dubbs Avenue Monday afternoon.
Neighbors called 9-1-1 to say their neighbors home was fully engulfed in flames.
Gerald Livingston and Jeremy Lee work about 100 yards away and heard the screams.
"It's a terrible way to go (in a fire)... it's just terrible," said Livingston.
"It was picking up pretty good when we got here. When we came down the street, we could hardly see to walk, " said Lee.
When Lee and Livingston walked up to 50 Dubbs Avenue, the mobile home was fully engulfed and didn't know if anyone was inside.
It took crews 20 minutes to put out the blaze. When they did, they found a man inside.
The Lexington County Coroner's office confirms the man died from carbon monoxide poisoning and thermal injuries.
Lexington County Battalion Chief Billy Gardner says it's the 9th fire related death ths year.
"What we're seeing is it's not people living just in mobile homes, it's people living in mobile homes doing negligent things," said Gardner.
Two children were also killed in February when their mobile home in the same park caught fire.
