A Georgetown County sheriff's deputy has been fired following his arrest by the State Law Enforcement Division.
35-year-old Ron Christopher Crabtree is charged with criminal sexual conduct second degree and lewd act on a child.
He's accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a child from Ohio, but no details about the case have been released.
Police in Ohio called the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office because the incident is alleged to have happened in Pawleys Island.
Crabtree was with the sheriff's office for two and a half years.
