39-year-old Danielle Williams has been missing for nine days. Her family says Williams was last seen, March 7th, at Fort Jackson where she's in basic training.
She was last seen after having oral surgery. The Richland County Sheriff's Department has a missing person report on file, but Paul Bostrom says the Army has his sister listed as AWOL, absent without leave.
Right now the family doesn't know what to think, but they're trying to stay positive through their worry.
"That's my sister and I won't rest until she's found," said Paul Bostrom.
For more than a week, those who love Danielle Williams the most have been praying she will return home.
"It's just very hard as family members to have to sit back and wait and be patient" said sister-in-law Melina Bostrom.
Williams' older brother, has spent several days looking for his sister.
"When someone you love or care about goes missing it's kind of hard to sit around and do nothing," said Paul.
One night he found himself on Garner's Ferry Road, following up on a possible lead. But it didn't pan out.
"The reality of it hits you and its really difficult," said Paul. "But you come back home and you are really disheartened."
Melina says more than anything, Williams' 11 and 12-year-old sons need their mother.
"They are very confused," said Melina. "They can't understand why no one can tell them where she is."
The Bostrom's say this is out of character for Williams. And they're concerned something might have happened.
"For her to not communicate with any of us, it's just never happened," said Paul.
"Your mind can go in so many different directions when you are faced with something like this," said Melina. "But we are just trying to hold on to hope."
And they're working with volunteers to find the missing woman. According to Paul, investigators say someone made an ATM withdrawal with Williams' card the day after she disappeared.
But no activity since.
