COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A jury has found four sheriff's deputies not guilty of accusations they beat a federal death row inmate while he was being held in a South Carolina jail.

The verdict Friday came after two hours of deliberations in the case of Chadrick Fulks, who escaped from a Kentucky jail in 2002. Fulks is facing execution for killing a South Carolina woman.
