CHARLESTON, SC (AP) -- If you're thinking about heading to the coast this weekend, you may want to surf the South Carolina Department of Parks Recreation and Tourism's new Web site.
The site, www.SCBeaches.travel, is devoted to travel information about attractions along the state's 200-mile coastline.
It's divided into three areas -- the Lowcountry and resort islands, historic Charleston and the Grand Strand.
The new site is one of several the department operates.
Besides PRT's main site, www.DiscoverSouthCarolina.com, there are several specialty sites including www.SouthCarolinaGolf.com and www.CarolinaGirls.travel.
Tourism means about $16 billion to the state economy each year.
