AIKEN, S.C. (AP) -- The Aiken Standard is offering folks a chance to advertise their faith on their newspaper boxes.
Circulation director Scot Newcom created boxes with "I Believe" written where the newspaper's name normally would go. The newspaper reports that Newcom was upset over a federal judge's ruling that for now bans a proposed state license plate with the same phrase.
Newcom says he thinks Christians have a right to share their faith with others.
The newspaper boxes are available for sale for about $13 to subscribers and non-subscribers.
Newcom says if the boxes sell well, he will consider adding other specialty messages.
