Richland County deputies are investigating a shooting late Sunday night that left a man dead.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 11 p.m. Sunday at 2 Sandy Springs Court in Columbia.

Twenty-seven-year-old Donald R. Ryant of Columbia was shot in the upper body. He would have turned 28 on Friday.
