Sumter, S.C.-- Two suspects have been arrested in the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old.
Friday night police arrested 22-year-old Quentin Patrick and 19-year-old Ericka Pee.
Police say Friday evening the victim and two family members approached the suspect's residence on Wise Drive while trick or treating. While still inside the house, Patrick fired an AK-47 assault rifle, injuring all three family members.
Police soon responded and found all three victims suffering from gun shot injuries. Twelve-year-old T.J. Darrisaw was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. The two other victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Patrick and Pee attempted to leave the residence after the shooting but were soon taken into custody. The suspect admitted to firing the weapon. Once inside police soon recovered the murder weapon along with a 9 mm handgun.
Quentin Patrick was taken to the Sumter Lee Regional Detention Center. He is charged with murder, two counts of assualt and battery with intent to kill, and assualt with intent to kill. Ericka Pee is charged with obstruction of justice.
This case remains under investigation.
