Columbia Apartment Fire

Columbia, SC -- Around 9:45 Tuesday night firefighters responded to a fire at apartment complex on School House Road.

Deputy Chief Aubrey Jenkins says a furnace caused the blaze. The fire soon spread through the attic and into another unit.

Two apartment units were affected and three people were displaced. There were no injuries.

Damages are estimated at $23,000.
