COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A kindergarten class at Columbia's Meadowfield Elementary celebrated Valentines Day with a twist this year.

Jamie Browder, who teaches the class decided this year that all of his students should make their own Valentines for each classmate this year.

Each student was given the homework assignment to make personal Valentines for 23 of their peers, and they did.

Also on the agenda for their party Thursday, was healthy eating.

Browder has been teaching his class about eating healthy and which snacks are good and bad for you.

"We did a study on what foods are healthy and good for the heart," said Browder.
