CAYCE, SC (WACH) - A suspect is wanted by the Cayce Department of Public Safety in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Monday afternoon.

Officials say the robbery happened around noon on Monday at a Dollar General Store on Charleston Hwy.

The suspect is described by authorities as a black male who is approximately 5-foot-8-inches tall. He was wearing a hooded camouflage jacket, blue jeans, a dark color shirt and two tone shoes at the time of the crime.

During the robbery, public safety officials say the suspect presented a black semi-automatic pistol before leaving the scene. He may have been assisted by a second person driving a four-door silver car.
