KINGSTREE, S.C. (AP) -- A second person is charged in a hit-and-run crash that killed the women's basketball coach at Kingstree High School.
Authorities say Kwandeesha J. Taylor was charged Monday with leaving the scene of the crash and failing to render aid.
Investigators say Daveline Leshon Holmes left a convenience store last month and failed to yield to 39-year-old Sonya Burgess, causing Burgess to swerve to avoid her. Troopers say the car driven by Burgess overturned and she was ejected and hit by another vehicle.
Trooper say Taylor was driving the car that hit Burgess. She has been released from jail, and it wasn't known if she had an attorney.
Holmes is charged with reckless homicide and leaving the scene of a collision involving death.
