COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta is coming to Columbia to speak at the University of South Carolina.

Archbishop Wilton Gregory is giving the annual Joseph Cardinal Bernardin lecture at Monday evening at the auditorium in the university's law school. Gregory's speech is called "Joseph Louis Bernardin: A Model for Civility in Public Discourse."

The lecture honors Bernardin who was born in Columbia and went to the University of South Carolina before becoming a Catholic leader.

Gregory will also be part of a panel discussion at 3:30 P.M. Monday about civility, democracy and religion.
