COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- Riverbanks Zoo's annual Brew at the Zoo festivities kick off at 7 p.m. Friday with beer sampling stations scattered throughout the zoo property and more than 100 kinds of beer to try. The event runs until 9:30 p.m. and includes live music by local artists Drew Kennedy and John Wesley Satterfield. Animal activities are scheduled, including alligator training -- in which keepers feed and interact with them -- penguin feeding, and lion enrichment -- in which keepers have them react to situations they would encounter in the wild.

The night's event is open to people 21+ with valid photo ID. Tickets are available for purchase online here. Designated Driver tickets are available at the gate on the day of the event to individuals 21 and up for $15 (includes unlimited soft drinks).
