LEXINGTON, S.C. -- The family of a Lexington County man who went missing a few days before Christmas held a vigil in his honor Monday night.

Twenty-two-year-old Michael George disappeared after he went to Shooters Bar and Grill in Cayce December 23rd of last year. Authorities say they don't have a lot of information, but they believe he left with someone.  George’s car was later found abandoned.

The vigil was held at Virginia Hylton Park in Lexington. Even though it’s been six months since Michael George disappeared, his family continues to hold out hope he will be found alive.  Right now, his parents are asking anyone with any information about the type of person their son was to share it with them.

“We want the stories of Michael drinking, stories of if he was doing drugs, we want the stories of if he owed you money or you knew he owed you money or if he had a bad temper, we want the Michael that you knew,” said Gary George, Michael’s father.

“Whatever you know about him in his adult life, don't worry we're strong enough to take it. I found out a lot of stuff about my son that I wish I’d known before, so we need it,” said Helen George, Michael’s mother.

Anyone with information that could help authorities in the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-Crime SC.
