Here is your Good Day Columbia GDC Morning WACH for 4-5-12:
It was a wide open Thursday, as we all get excited about the Urban Tour, Easter, and the return of Fraendy from the Big Apple.
Tomorrow is Good Friday, it is also the 4th annual Good Deed Friday, where the West Metro Chamber and the Lexington Medical Foundation are asking you to remember those who have needs. You are encouraged to donate every day products that are needed by several local charities, including food, office supplies, pots and pans, cleaning supplies and more.
This year, the event is taking place at the Walmart on Augusta Highway in West Columbia and the United Methodist Church in Swansea.
Gregg Pinner from the West Metro Chamber and Angela Smith from the Lexington Medical Foundation joined us, and you can watch it HERE.
The Charlie Todd Experience…the author of “Causing a Scene” and leader of Improve Anywhere will be speaking at the Richland County Public Library this afternoon at 5:45, leading up to his MP-3 experiment at 7:10 on Main Street. As the Urban Tour plans an evening of art and fun in downtown Columbia, we welcomed several different folks all who are looking forward to meeting you tonight. For more information on the Urban Tour, click HERE.
We also welcomed several guests all tied to the Urban Tour, including Chef Fastback from Mac’s on Main, Anastasia Chernoff, and CJ Mack. It is going to be a very special night for downtown Columbia.
