CHARLESTON, S.C. (WACH/AP) -- A seminar at the College of Charleston will help students learn how to pay the rising costs of attending college.
The seminar comes at a time when students in the United States owe more than $1 trillion in student loans.
State Treasurer Curtis Loftis is among the speakers at the free session scheduled for Friday sponsored by the College Savings Foundation entitled "Making Sense of College Costs."
The session also features foundation chairman Roger Michaud as well as Mark Kantrowitz, the creator of the financial aid Web site FinAid.org.
Donald Burkard, the associate vice president for enrollment planning at the College of Charleston, is also scheduled to speak.
