ORANGEBURG, SC (WACH) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office said a second Berkeley County man has been arrested and charged in the September 2012 murder of a Holly Hill man.
A release from the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office said Jordan Akeem McDaniel was arrested today in the death of Richard Davis. Our investigation indicates McDaniel and Kenneth Campbell, Jr. were attempting to rob the Holly Hill man on September 24. Davis was found in the front yard of his Surfside Dr. home.
McDaniel will be arraigned on Murder and Possession of a weapon during a violent crime charges today at 2:30 p.m.
McDaniel is currently under arrest in Berkeley County on charges from an investigation by the St. Stephen Police Department and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held on an $850,000 bond on charges of Armed Robbery, 3 counts of Kidnapping, Burglary 2nd, 3 counts of Assault and Battery 1st, Resisting Arrest, Forgery, Possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
