COLUMBIA (WACH) - Columbia is getting a third Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant.
Travis Butler, President of Butler Properties and Development says the restaurant will be opening in the Vista area of downtown Columbia at the corner of Gervais and Wayne Streets.
Butler says there will be 18 on-site parking spaces at the new Chipotle and roughly 50 metered and unmetered spaces along Wayne Street.
Columbia currently has Chipotle restaurants on Harbison Blvd. and Forest Drive.
Butler says he is only working on the development side of the project, but says he believes the restaurant will do well.
The Butler Properties and Development website says the firm is successful "due to a firm policy of undertaking only well-conceived projects in superior locations with astute awareness to market considerations."
According to the Congaree Vista Guild, the Vista has more than 60 restaurants and bars, and approximately 40 art galleries and specialty shops.
