COLUMBIA (WACH) - Officials at Riverbanks Zoo say Lights Before Christmas is closed Thursday night.

The event, which runs from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. through Dec. 30, has been cancelled due to a train blocking the entrance to the main zoo parking lot.

Authories say two cars came unhooked from the train, but there was no derailment.

Metro Region Officers with the Columbia Police Department were at the scene assisting with traffic control Thursday evening around 6 p.m.

Lights Before Christmas will reopen Friday.
