SENECA, S.C. (AP) -- A South Carolina coroner is planning autopsies to check suspicions two people found dead outside their home are victims of a murder and a suicide.

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says autopsies will be performed Sunday on 58-year-old Gwendolyn Hiott and 50-year-old James Wesley Foxx.

Oconee Sheriff's Capt. Travis Tilson said the two were found early Saturday outside the home they shared in Seneca. Both had been shot.

Addis says Hiott appears to have died from a gunshot wound to the chest while Foxx was shot in the head. A handgun was found lying near his body.
