RICHLAND CO. SC (WACH)--The Richland Co. Sheriff's Department is on the lookout for a man who tried to break into a home Friday night.

Deputies say around 9:30 p.m. they received a call from a home on the 300 block of Cane Brake Cir. The victim told them multiple white men wearing all black clothing tried to enter the door. Deputy Curtis Wilson said the victim blocked the door with their body. That is when one of the suspects slashed the victim's car tires.

Wilson said that one of the suspects also shot once from a handgun before they left the scene. There were no injuries.

The department continues to investigate.
