SALTERS, S.C. (AP) -- Williamsburg County sheriff's deputies are looking for an inmate who walked away from a federal prison near Salters.

Sheriff Michael Johnson says 26-year-old Kevin Eric Campbell apparently walked away from the minimum security camp next to the main prison late Wednesday afternoon.

Johnson said Campbell might have been traveling with a woman to Effingham in Florence County. Florence County deputies have been alerted to watch for the suspect. Campbell is not considered dangerous.

There was no immediate word on Campbell's crime or the length of his sentence.
