COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH / AP) -- Two more men have been arrested in the investigation of a sports gambling ring in Richland County.

Sheriff's Capt. Chris Cowan says the men arrested Tuesday bring to 14 the number of suspects charged with misdemeanor gambling for allegedly placing bets with a sports book operation run by 42-year-old Brett Parker of Irmo.

Deputies discovered the operation after Parker's wife and a man were shot to death in the Parkers' home. He is to stand trial on murder charges in May.

Parker also faces a federal charge of operating an illegal gambling business.

Parker told deputies he killed Bryan Capnerhurst after Capnerhurst had killed Tammy Parker.
