CLINTON, S.C. (AP) -- A $15,000 reward has been offered to find the person who mailed threatening letters to Laurens County's two school districts.

U.S. Postal Service officials showed the envelopes that contained the letters Tuesday. The addresses were handwritten, apparently by the same person, and postmarked from Greenville.

The letters arrived at Laurens School District 55 and 56 offices, Presbyterian College and Clinton Public Safety earlier this month.

Investigators have not said what was written, but say they had to do with security at the schools.

The State Law Enforcement Division helped Laurens County deputies and other agencies put officers at every school in the county after the letters were received. No incidents were reported.

SLED spokesman Thom Berry says analysts are still looking for fingerprints and DNA from the letters.
