MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. (AP) -- One of the most famous ceremonial units in the Marine Corps is scheduled to perform for the public at the recruit depot on Parris Island.

A spokeswoman says the Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment is appearing at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

The detachment is a ceremonial unit from Marine Barracks Washington. It includes the U.S. Marine Corps Drum & Bugle Corps, the Silent Drill Platoon, and the Official Color Guard.

A valid driver's license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration are required to drive onto the depot.
