MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) -- A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a Moncks Corner shooting death nearly two years ago.

WCSC-TV in Charleston reported that a Berkeley County jury on Wednesday convicted Ricardo Mendoza of manslaughter in the death of 32-year-old Edwin Velasquez-Rodriguez.

Moncks Corner police say Velasquez-Rodriguez was found by police in his car at a mobile home park in May of 2011.
