CHAPIN, SC (WACH) - The Chapin Police Department has charged a woman with cruelty to children after a 6-year-old showed up to school with injuries.

Police say Crystal Maner was arrested Monday after the child showed up to school with apparent injuries to the side of his face and ear. The school contacted the Department of Social Services, who contacted police.

According to Police, when the child was asked what happened by a teacher, the child told the teacher about being hit with a spatula several times for not listening.
