African American Chamber hosts nuclear energy talk

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The South Carolina African American Chamber of Commerce is bringing utility leaders and politicians together to discuss the future of nuclear power and engineering.

The forum, entitled Nuclear Matters: Redefining Our Energy Future, will be held Friday evening at Allen University.

U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn will be part of the panel discussion, along with South Carolina Electric and Gas Chief Nuclear Officer Jeff Archie and the S.C. Department of Energy's Office of Economic Impact and Diversity Director Dot Harris.
