ORANGEBURG COUNTY (WACH) - A hit-and-run collision that occurred near Orangeburg County is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Authorities say the incident, which left a cyclist seriously injured, occurred Saturday, Feb. 16 around 6:30 p.m. on US-178 near Weatherford Road.

A vehicle of interest has been identified as a red, 2001-2003 full-size Chevrolet extended cab pickup with chrome mirrors.

Troopers say the vehicle may have damage to the right front area near the headlight, fender, or mirror.
