FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) -- Investigators say a Florence woman found dead in her home by a co-worker was likely the victim of foul play.

Authorities said 34-year-old Kendra Johnson was likely killed several hours before her body was found around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Florence Police Chief Anson Shells says his investigators think someone killed Johnson, but he wouldn't say how she was slain. Shells said there was no sign of forced entry and the woman did not live alone, but he wouldn't give additional details on the investigation.

Authorities say the co-worker went to Johnson's home after she failed to show up for work and could see her body on the floor through a window.
