CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson University is again taking its turfgrass management program on the road.

Organizers say the one-day course touring South Carolina beginning Tuesday is designed to help teach techniques about managing grounds, lawns, recreational parks, athletic fields and sod production facilities.

Officials with the university's turf school have a stop on Tuesday at Cypress Gardens in Moncks Corner. There is also a session Wednesday at the University Center at McAlister Square in Greenville, followed by a stop on Friday at the school's Pee Dee Research and Education Center in Florence.

Participants learn about Clemson turfgrass researchers' trials in the latest techniques to cut costs and environmental impact of turf management while meeting federal and state regulatory guidelines.
