CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A former U.S. Supreme Court justice is speaking in Charleston this spring.

Sandra Day O'Connor will offer keynote remarks April 15 at a symposium at the Charleston School of Law. The topic will be separation of church and state.

O'Connor became the first woman to serve as an associate justice on the United States Supreme Court back in 1981.

She retired in 2006.
