COlUMBIA (WACH) -- Record heat two days in a row in Columbia.

For the second day Columbia Metropolitan Airport has set a record high temperature.

The high temperature for Sunday was 78°F. This surpassed the old record high temperature for January 13 of 77°F which was set in 2005. Saturday also set a record high temperature for January 12.

The temperature got to a very mild 82°F which steamrolled past the old record of 77°F set back in 1916.

Monday's high temperatures should dip back below record levels.
